Update & Upcoming Travels

I feel like i have SO much to catch up with you ladies on!  (Please excuse the wordy sentence).  I won't have too much time to get any blog posts up for a while - not like i blog much anyway! *sadface* - but i digress... So much has been going on lately in my life: i've been working a ton, i've been ill & therefore have a lot to catch up on school-wise, preparing for prom, and i've also been getting ready for my trip to England & France!  Yep, if you didn't already know, i will be flying to London this Wednesday (the 20th) and will be there for a few days, then i'll be taking the train to Paris.  It's so surreal, it honestly hasn't even hit me that i'll be going to the country where an insane amount of my favorite bloggers, bands, etc. live, although we've been planning this for months!

I'm going with a fairly small group of people from school (it's an English department trip for juniors and seniors).  I'm really hoping to avoid looking like a tourist, although with a group of people that really don't know anything about England and traveling with a tour guide, unfortunately, i'm afraid that we will look like utter tourists. D:  Oh, the horror!

Although i may look like a total nerd/typical tourist, snapping photos of everything and hopefully getting LOADS in Primark, if any of you happen to spot me, don't be afraid to approach me!  I know this most likely won't happen, but i would love for it too. ;)  And if i see any of you, i will definitely at least try to gather the courage to come up to you. ♥

If you have any recommendations of products or places i should check out, definitely let me know!  We're staying in Hammersmith and i'm already planning on trying to make time to go to Superdrug, Primark, New Look, maybe River Island, and hopefully Topshop.  My bank account is going to totally hate me after this trip.  Ahem.

A bit off the subject, but i wanted to give a little shoutout to Hannah who recently celebrated her one year blogiversary and decided to share the love a bit by mentioning a few of her fellow bloggers she met through Blogger - one of them being me!  It honestly made my day, it was so sweet.  Beautylishious is one of my favorite blogs and the lady behind it is so lovely. :)  Happy blogiversary and here's to many more to come!

I hope you're all doing well, i miss blogging & talking to you guys. :l
Talk to you lovelies soon!  Thanks for sticking by me and Big City Dreams, i mean it. ♥

  2. Ooh enjoy your trip to London and Paris!
I agree with Hayley - Camden Market is great to have a look around on Saturday and Sunday, but I think you will pick up better shopping buys if you stick to Oxford Street (the main shopping street) - there you will find all the high street chains, including a massive Topshop :)
I also love Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square. xx

  4. I recommend going to Camden Market and Covent Gardens and obviously Oxford Street... Primark, New Look, River Island, Topshop... also Jack Wills though it's quite expensive, and also Republic do some really nice stuff (one of my favourite shops) In Superdrug check out GOSH, Sleek, Barry M, MeMeMe, 2TRUE, Collection 2000 and Accessorize makeup (particularly their baked blushes/ bronzers) though you probably already know this! In Boots have a look at No7 and Natural Collection makeup and Soap & Glory bath stuff.

I know that's a lot to take in so to narrow it down my faves are: Topshop, Primark, Republic, Sleek, MeMeMe :)

    Have a fantastic time :D

  5. Aaah have an amazing time in London, Laura! I'll be in London on Thursday (: And if you're getting the Eurostar to Paris from St. Pancras station, don't forget to venture into King's Cross and snap photos at the Platform 9 and 3/4 wall! xo

  6. Eek you're going to love it in London! Definitely check out Primark, the lines for the changing rooms are usually mega though so if you can try and find things that you know will fit you, I definitely reccomend going to see a show in the West End, going on an open top bus tour of London and most importantly go to camdem market, you'll love it! Have an amazing time Laura :D!xx

  7. I agree with the other anon, Camden Market and Covent Gardens are two total opposites but they are both amazing. Also, Portobello Road is also really cute, with alot of vintage.
Basically, just have fun! And I'm sure you won't look like a tourist.

  8. You're going to have so much fun in London and Paris. They're both amazing cities! You should definitely try to go to Platform 9 and 3/4, Camden Town, Covent Garden, Portobello, Oxford Street, Trafalgar square and Picadilly Circus... The London Eye is amazing, too. As far as Paris goes, I don't remember the name of most of the places I visited :L... Les Champes Élysée is such a beautiful place, I'd definitely go there. I also loved the Bateau Parisien.
Oh, I'm sure you'll have a great time! Take a lot of photos with your new camera! (; xx
