Glossybox: June 2012.

The ladies at Glossybox USA kindly sent me their June 2012 box, which i received just yesterday.  The theme of this past month's box is "Summer Simplicity", which is all about restoring your natural beauty and letting it shine through this summer.  I am really with this idea and agree that less is more during the summertime.  Futzing with makeup and hair can be time consuming and especially during the hot and humid summer months, isn't always worth it as they can easily get ruined.

I was blown away by the first Glossybox i received (review here), so i was excited to see what this box had in store.  I love the variety of products this box had - everything from a hair treatment to shave cream.  Although they're not all full-size products (the last box featured five full-size products and a deluxe sample), i still appreciate the deluxe-size samples i received.  The brands featured in this box are also familiar to me, so i'm looking forward to trying out the different products these brands have to offer.

I can see myself using all of these products up, which is not a common feeling for me to have!  I'm super excited to dig in and start testing them all out.

BeautyAddicts Show-OFF Mascara: I've tried this mascara once so far and based off the first use, it is one of my favorite mascaras that i have tried.  The formula is really lush, and the brush is a massive and curved.  It's super black and creates really voluminous lashes!  Of course i will give this more tries, but so far i'm really impressed.

First Aid Beauty Smooth Shave Cream: I've tried a body wash from this brand before and really enjoyed it, but that is the extent of my exploration of this brand.  I've never tried a shaving cream out of a tube like this, so i think it will be interesting to see how it goes!

Kinerase Restructure Firming Cream: Full-size versions of products like these can run in the $100 range, so to receive a decent size sample of this is pretty awesome.  My skin is super sensitive to testing out new products and i break out very easily, but i think i will try this out anyway!

Shea Terra Organics Ultimate Moisturizing Treatment: This product's description had me at "organic" and "shea butter".  I'm always looking for that miracle lotion that can cure my dry skin and i've never tried out this brand before, so i'm looking forward to trying it out.

Wella Professionals Enrich Moisturizing Treatment: Having ridiculously long hair, moisturizing and treating my hair is a necessity to maintain it looking and feeling healthy.  I haven't tried out too many moisturizing treatments, so this will definitely be a treat.

Sample of A Perfume Organic's "Urban Organic":  This was the little extra in my box this month, it's meant to be a fresh & citric scent - sounds perfect for summer!

This month's Glossybox also came with a hard copy of the brand new GlossyMag.  GlossyMag discusses trends and news in the beauty world, and features different brands and products to go along with them.  It's lovely to flick through and discover these new trends and products.  GlossyBox will also be launching GlossyMag online.

Overall
As my second Glossybox, i was very pleased with the deluxe samples i received.  I have yet to try many of them out, but they all look very promising.  I love the variety of types of products, from hair to skincare to fragrance.  The types of products i received even vary from the April box i received, which is really impressive.  Not only is the idea of Glossybox lovely, but it is executed really well.  Who doesn't want to receive a little box full of gorgeous goodies once a month?  I'm really looking forward to the months to come!  Look out for some possible mini reviews or features with these products. :)

H&M haul.

A few weeks ago, i decided to have a little look around in H&M and use up my gift card from Christmas.  I went in a few times prior to this last trip with the same mission, but didn't fall in love with anything.  Well, this time i went a bit crazy!  Don't think i spent over $25 for one item though, and everything in total came to around $100.  Sorry for not being able to remember the specific prices of everything, can't find the receipt either but i'll do my best. :)
Oatmeal-color cardigan, H&M basic range - about $20

I am so obsessed with this top!  The seaming is so flattering and adds such lovely detail.  It's probably my favorite top atm.  Such a bargain for around $15.

What do you do when you fall in love with a top?  Buy it in every other color possible.  Black & cream polka dotted top and white top of the same style - again, around $15 each.

This top doesn't look like much on the hanger, but it looks so nice on.  It falls perfectly, and although the fabric is a bit clingy/cheap, i still really like it and it's a great basic to have.  A bargain for $15.

Saw this tank top and just had to have it - looks super cute with a grey cardi and jeans.  This was around $15 as well!

Feather ring - $6

Couldn't think of a better way to show this scarf, haha.  It's absolutely massive, but really light and perfect for spring/summer.  I adore H&M's scarves!  I believe this was about $14.

Christmas gifts.

NARS Laguna bronzing powder and a mini Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight.

A Marilyn Monroe calendar, gift cards - TGI Fridays, H&M, Wendy's, Forever 21, Big Apple Bagels, Pacsun, gas card, and cash maaaney.

Vampire Diaries Season Two, gold band from Forever 21, The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides (returning to Amazon & getting a copy for my Kindle instead!).

Aztec-print top with pocket, gloves, fuzzy socks.

Lush goodies! (going clockwise) Magic Wand bubble bar, The Comforter bubble bar (one of my all time fave Lush products!), Phoenix Rising bath bomb, Candy Mountain bubble bar.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 25 Instant Camera.  This was the gift i was probably most excited to receive!  If you haven't heard of it before, it's basically like an old school Polaroid camera, but since Polaroid stopped making the film for its cameras, Fujifilm came out with an alternative.  It's lightweight & really cool looking (imo!), and the photos it produces are really cute and vintage looking.  (You can see one of the images in my Merry Christmas post, it's in the last photo!).  Although the film is quite expensive, i'm so excited to bring this on nights out & such!

What did you get for Christmas this year?

Etsy findings.

I love browsing on Etsy whenever i'm in the mood for a bit of online shopping.  I can always count on finding something unique and quirky, and it's great supporting our fellow awesome and creative people of the internet imo!  One of my favorite sections to scour on Etsy has to be jewelry.  Sometimes i can find the jewelry in shops to all be the same or just overpriced, so i've been turning to Etsy lately for my gem fix.
Below are two (the third was a gift!) of my latest findings.
cross stud - thrifted
I was watching one of Beauty Crush's videos and she was wearing an ear cuff that she had got from Fashionology & i decided i needed one for myself!  I then did a bit of searching on Etsy for a less expensive option and landed on the Triple Chain Silver Ear Cuff from kaylaivelisse.  I could've very easily spent a lot of money in her shop, i love the edginess to all of her pieces!
The piece i got is very nice quality and arrived quickly without any damage.  It came with a little clear back for the stud, but i seem to have misplaced it (standard) so when i wear it i just but any earring back on it.  I figured i'd get the cuff with the three chains because i figured i could always modify it if i wanted to just have the cuff, or just one or two chains.  Including shipping, this was only $11.75 which is a fantastic deal. :)

I had lost my old Scrabble ring (also from Etsy) and really wanted a replacement.  So again, i turned to trusty Etsy for one.  (I know many people may think that Scrabble rings are 'over' but i still love mine & continue to get compliments on it!).  This time i got a wooden piece instead of the plastic one, but i think both look great. The one above is from GeekyGifts.  It was only $4.75 with shipping and as a bonus, she added the little bear ring.  It arrived in my mailbox super quickly as well and was unharmed.

My love for Etsy is undying, i've never had a bad experience using it and there are always amazing deals & goodies to be found. :)

H&M and Topshop buys

Yet another H&M haul post from me.. what can i say?  I just can't stay away. ;)
Thought i'd do this post in a bit of a different format than my other haul posts.  Personally, i like this format a bit better as i think it looks so much nicer/artsy-er/cleaner than hanging each piece up on my wall to be photographed individually then being mashed up together on picnik!  I know it's a bit harder to see what the clothes look like, but hope you all don't mind.

I had the day off today and thought i'd go to H&M right when it opened (in attempt to beat the weekend rush) and i ended up spending a few hours in there.  I was on a mission to find things for the colder weather, but i didn't want to go an all out spree.  H&M has such a lovely fall and winter stock out at the moment, it's coats, sweaters, and mittens galore.  Want to go back for a new winter coat actually!
I have to go back to work tomorrow but i was so happy to have the day off!
Hope you're all enjoying you're weekends. <3

Boxy, batwinged sweaters - $19.95 each

Men's v-neck tee - $5.95
Leopard print top (hi/low hem, 3/4 length sleeves) - $14.95
Floral tank with buttons down the front - $14.95

Nail polish in Taupe - $1.95

Leopard print scarf - $14.95 (Was the last one mixed in with all the scarves and was apparently supposed to come with a hat?  Not sure what's up with that, but the scarf is massive and pretty haha)

Thought i'd update you all on these shoes.. I ended up returning the pair i showed in my previous post as they were just too small for my feet.  I reluctantly waited for them to go back in stock on the Topshop website and they finally did!  So glad i held out for the size up.  They are actually quite comfy & i just think they are gorgeous.

Vintage spree.

Once a year, the thrift store i work at has a big vintage sale where we sell clothing, shoes (soo many boots!), hats, scarves, and bags that has been donated during the year & is considered 'vintage'.  I wasn't expecting too much to be honest, but when i was helping tag the items & set it all up last night, i became obsessed with everything i saw!  Since this is only a once-a-year sale, i have to pay full price for the items (usually get 50% off on clothes) and i can't stash anything for myself while i'm working.  Since i work 3-9 tonight, i woke up super early this morning to get there first thing so i could have first picks.

I feel so lucky to work where i do!  It's awesome to work with people who appreciate vintage things as much (or even more sometimes ;) as i do. ♥
You may notice something different about these photos from my last 'haul' type post, i've painted my room.  No more pink! :)

Leather fringe vest - $8.99 / Member's Only-style jacket - $7.49

Grey sweatshirt w/ pink & blue detailing - $6.99 / Grandpa-style cardigan (came with belt) - $6.99

Teddy bear fringed tee (don't judge me) - $4.99 / Colorado tee - $5.99

Kennedy Space Center tee - $6.99 / Wisconsin tee - $4.99

Sequined jacket - $9.99 / bag - $6.99

Minnetonka fringe ankle boots - $6.99/7.99

I am obsessed with everything i got, my faves are probably the fringe vest & the red jacket though!
Which piece(s) is/are your favorites?
