Just a quick post today...  I got this sweater yesterday - i saw it in the store about a month or two ago, but didn't want to pay $50 it, until i saw it on a customer at work and thought, 'right, that looks so awesome on her, i'm getting it!' and voila, it's mine!  Turns out it was 30% off, so i got this & a t-shirt for around $40 including tax. :)  I tweeted about this already, but i am loving Pacsun.  It has a bit of a reputation as being 'skater' & 'middle school', but i really like it.  I'd say it's more of a laid back & fun style, not chic & sophisticated or anything, but i think it has a little something for everyone.

Faye posted recently (love her blog, it's so gorgeous & girly!) about hair wraps & braids and i was inspired to do a bit of my own!  I followed the tutorial that she linked and although it was a bit hard to get started, it was easy once i got the hang of it.  Since this was the first one i've done, it's not very good!  Next one i do will definitely be in different colors (not really loving the purple + gold combo) and will choose a strand of hair in a different location - this one is in a bit of an awkward spot.  I put a wooden bead with an L on it as well, kinda like it actually!

Had a nice two days off work, not ready to go back tomorrow, haha. :/

This afternoon, i decided to utilize my tripod in attempt to take photos of what i wore today.  People always recommend i do more outfit of the days & since i picked up a few items when i went shopping yesterday, i thought i'd share them.  Other than that, i've been feeling really uninspired on the fashion front lately!  I think it's the combination of school + not having much in my wardrobe to choose from.  Excuses, excuses i know, but it gets annoying wearing the same pair of jeggings & the same few tops every week!

Trying to save money for a trip over spring break but wanting to reinvent your entire wardrobe is hard.

01. This bag has to be one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe.  The neutral color makes it go with everything, but the fringe makes it fun & very me :).  Can i just say.. i love fringe.  Maybe it's the laid-back/cool feel that always takes me back to Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock 1969, but fringe is such now becoming a slight obsession of mine.  The cardigan is also a purchase from yesterday.  Of course when i go out in search for new shoes & tops, i come out with everything but.

02. I turned in my application yesterday at the thrift store.  Two of my friends (+ a lot of other people from my school work/have worked there) work there at the moment & urged me to apply there.  Sure that thrift store may be a dodgy place, but a job is a job & i need one!  Besides, i've discovered some pretty neat (lol, neat...) finds from thrift stores.  Also, the manager's cute.  That's always a plus ;)

03. I've officially decided i want to re-paint my room.  I think i've just outgrown the pink (even though we just painted it what, like two years ago?).  I'm thinking of going more neutral, in the cream/tan direction.  With a few artsy touches & decorations i think it'll look really nice.

04. We're about to get packed with snow over the next couple of days (where i live is way past due i guess!).  I don't want to jinx it, but i'm really hoping for at least one snow day this week.  Our city is pretty good at salting & clearing the roads - good thing if you have to be somewhere, bad thing if you want school to be cancelled - pretty quickly, but we'll see!  Hope you all had good starts to your weeks!

I haven't done a proper 'outfit of the day' in a while, but i've been determined to get these started up again, but improved a bit this time!  (Not to say this is much of an improvement ha :/).  So it's out with the 'mirror pics' & in with trying to take decent photos of my outfits.  The lighting in my entire house is definitely not photo-friendly, and even if i do find an okay spot to take photos, i have no place to put my camera!  Quite annoying actually.  I have to add, i absolutely hate the pink background on these photos.  I took them in my room (hence the pink walls) - i need to paint my room!  Getting sick of this color anyway.

This outfit's really not too interesting, but i tried something new & realized i quite like it!  It's wearing leggings with a shorter top, but wearing a skirt or shorts over the leggings (but under the top) - wearing leggings as pants is no-no for me!  I'm probably going to try the skirt-leggings combo tomorrow, with another cardigan & top.  (Exciting isn't it?) haha.

I did a presentation for history yesterday on Woodstock, and it actually went really well!  I'm probably not the only one who feels this way, but i find things a lot easier to talk/write about if it's something i actually am interested in or something i enjoy.  That's why i chose to do a presentation on Woodstock and why i'm choosing to do my English paper on The Beatles ♥.

Anyone else as excited for Christmas as i am?!  My friends & i have been planning so many fun things to do in the upcoming month and i cannot wait :).  I might be doing a Christmas wishlist sorta post, but i'm not too sure if it'll be interesting at all, haha.  We'll see!

I'd really like to hear your feedback on this post, would you like to see more of these?  Otherwise i won't go through the trouble of taking the photos & such!  Plz let me know ladies :)

Rings, Glorious Rings :) & Inception!

I went shopping downtown with my sister a few weeks ago, where we stopped at PacSun.  I don't normally shop at PacSun, but i had a gift card that i still needed to use up.  I wandered in there and nothing really made a huge impression on me - there was this adorable floral crop top that i wanted, but even with the gift card, it was a bit out of my price range!

I wandered over to the little jewelry section & hidden behind a deep stack of some fairly pretty rings was this beauty!:

I was immediately attracted to the sparrow ring (in the middle), and then after i calmed myself down a bit haha, i came to really like the other two rings on either side of it.  I also really love the color, it's more of a warm goldy-bronze, which i enjoy & wear much more than a cold silver.
I absolutely love wearing jewelry with cute little animals on them, especially my signature owl ring! :)

Since the three rings aren't attached, you can mix & match the rings, by wearing just one or two at a time, or wearing them on different fingers - which is super fun & versatile! :)

This set of rings was around $6.50-$7.00, not including the gift card - basically a steal!

I honestly cannot believe i didn't mention this in my last post, but i saw Inception on Friday (opening) night and i have not stopped thinking (or tweeting about it ahh!) since!  It was absolutely incredible, spectacular, brilliant, fantastic ahhh - the whole idea of it, the cast, the effects, the score..everything about it was just stunning.  I think it's safe to say that it's now my favorite film of all time ♥.  Definately go see it when you get the chance!!

I should also let you girlies know that i'm babysitting my cousin everyday this week, so i may not get around to posting a lot - i promise i'll try to put something up if i can!

Tag: What's In My Bag? ♥

This tag is a classic, it has been going around for years and it's a favorite of many!  I've done this once before but i think i deleted it yesterday when i was going on a deleting-my-old-cringey-posts spree ;).  Anyway, i thought i would update you all with what's in my bag :).  I was also reminded of this tag by Holly, who did this post recently!
